As we approach the end of the year, Sub-drill would like to reflect on the significant milestones and accomplishments we have achieved in 2023. It has been a year of growth, innovation, and recognition for our company, and we are grateful for your continuous support.
We are proud to announce the awarding of UK Patent No 2608252 by the UK IPO, showcasing the unique innovation and technology behind our Sub-X™ subsea ring gasket technology.
This patent is the result of years of intensive research and development, focusing on the behaviour of subsea ring gaskets when subjected to the most extreme combinations of well conditions.
In 2019 Sub-drill offered the world's first fully qualified subsea gasket tested and qualified to API 17D and API 6A to PR2, including Annex F, and certified by a 3rd party notifiable body in Lloyd's Register.
As a result of our ongoing R&D efforts, Sub-drill continue to optimise the performance of our Sub-X™ ring gasket range and provide 3rd party Type Approval for each qualified gasket design, to ensure that our clients may be confident of receiving a suitably qualified product which meets their performance requirements, and provides them with compliance to the relevant governing national standards.
One of the highlights of the year was the completion of our new extension, providing us with a fully temperature-controlled environment to house our Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), enabling unsurpassed reliability and optimum accuracy for the QC inspection of our range of Sub-X™ wellhead and BOP production and drilling gaskets.
This expansion added 6900 sq. ft of space to our manufacturing facility, additional silver line coating capacity to meet the growing demand for our range of Sub-X™ Gaskets, a new home for our valve shop repair and pressure test facilities, as well as a newly installed torque machine and additional storage space for stocking of inventory to help support our client needs.
Additional work in 2023 also expanded our staff canteen facilities and provides additional laboratory and office space to meet our ongoing requirements and plans for future growth.
2023 has seen witness to growth in all areas of our business, with our unique and bespoke product offering continuing to be in demand with our ever- expanding global client base.
Looking ahead to 2024, Sub-drill remain committed to continued growth, development, and innovation.
